ahh okay, i had recently bought 118/120 jet's, i got told thats what youd need for an aftermarket race can. well now that i know its a half system, would i need bigger jets or just keepo these one?

What was it running like before?
If it ain't broke...don't fix it! Saying that...you have done a fair bit of breaking eh?
TSR half for sure..

1/2 system (most likely TSR) as said.
How was the bike running before?
There is a good phrase that goes like this.
If it isn't broken don't try and fix it.
A decent dyno operator will be able to do a power-run and fuel check for you and advise you if bigger mains will be an improvement, if you don't know where you start from how do you know where you've gone?
My 30 was running a Yamamoto 1/2 system with 110's all round and it felt fine... have gone upto 115/118's but I still need dyno time time for 100% sweet-setup and to confirm it is running better.
With Cammo's guide you can't go far wrong but if you have a good running bike then don't change things just because its written down without a dyno first, depending on air-box, bike condition, carb setup by previous owners it could already be at optimimum.

well before it was runnig very rich, i increased the jets and it has been smoother and less smell of petrol. although im kinda confused on how increasing the jets would make it run less rich as increasing the size should increase its richness. never the less. after i change from 110/110 to a 180/120 it feels alot smoother and more responsive. and yeah ive done a few breakings lol, its my first big bike. so im not good at this kind of stuff yet.

Theres no way it can run rich on 110's all around unless your air-filter is full of tar or theres something seriously wrong with the carbs.
As you correctly said, bigger jets = more fuel.
How do you know it was running rich before / leaner now?
Where was the smell of petrol from?
And thats my point, no need to go doing things just for the sake of doing them unless they are part of regular maintanance and service.

well when i start the bike the smell would be everywhere. mostly near the seating area, and alot of backfiring and smell of petrol coming out of the exhaust too, the backfiring could be from the airbleeding into the downpipes as there were no gaskets on the rear pipes. but ever since, ive cleaned and put new jets on the smell of petrol has almost gone away. infact before the new jets and carb overhaul, whenever my mum would walk past me she would say "My gos Ersan, you stink of petrol" :D

Thats not running rich, thats broken carbs.
You might have inadvertantly fixed it by changing the jets.
It will be running richer with the new jets but if you've fixed the fuel leak then thats one problem solved.
