NC30 Maxton or Ohlins rear

In my quest return my bike to std (clear screen and std indicators) I've started hankering after better suspension. 'Spanky' is selling an Ohlins damper and I've found a couple of Maxton ones too.
Does anyone have any comments on either of these options. Price is similar for both, obviously Ohlins have a pedigree and I've used them on both on a YB11 and RSVR in the past.
Any comments on both, good or bad would be appreciated.
I'd probably go with a RO kit for the front to match
Phil

Have you thought about refurbing the original? I've just had my original refurbed and put it back on the bike in place of a maxton. Feels great.

Get a Nitron in your list too..or a Technoflex, or a Penske..
There are miles more options than Ohlins and Maxton!
FWIW - I run a Sachs RS250 shock on my road bike..rebuilt and resprung..it is great.

thanks guys, is £300 + too much to spend on a s/h shock?
I hadn't thought of Nitron but on ebay they do brand new ones delivered for £350
I have considered having the existing one rebuilt BUT the spring rate from what I've read is a little low, so with a rebuild and new spring I'm probably close to £200. I had my GSXR1100K shock rebuilt, including a new damper shaft by Rev's racing, for £100. I'm 75kg dry, so with leather's maybe 85kgs (have you felt the weight of Crowtree's!).

The nitrons are great , the basic one starts at £350 and the top of the range is around £550.
£300 isnt that bad for a second hand shock supposing that its in good condition , i sold a second have nitron for £300 the other day.

Only just noticed this... but in a shameless bit of self promotion I'd say 300+ for an ohlins shock that had a £110 rebuild 3 months ago wasn't bad at all!
