R6 Shock 3tj

Post by ypm25 »

Hi not even riding on the road yet but can't resist buying bits and pieces.

So I've brought an 06 R6 shock and the adaptor. Blagged an abber stand and fitted it last night, all looks good.

Only one thing worried me a bit. I used the original 400 mounting bracket at the top of the shock. The bolt diameter (bolt that fits the R6 eye) is a bit small for that bracket so I put some big washers on a wanged it up tight anyway.

Does anyone see any problems with this??

Thanks!

I had the same problem, the 3tj mounting hole is 12mm dia and the r6 shock
hole and bolt is 10mm.

it might not move side to side but will go up and down as weight loads and unloads. a set of top hat style washers will sort it. give kayla a pm as she already has measurements if she's done it before!
though she still owes me some spacers.....
