Got to look at waterpump soon and have to remove the front sprocket cover . It looks as though it has a cable going into it? What is it? Can find mo ref to it in the manuals?
Thanks as always!

it's the clutch cable! you can undo the bolts and swing it out of your way, but once you have got it off it's pretty obvious how it fits!

While it's off have a look at the clutch mechanism inside and give it a clean. They get old chain lube building up and it can make the clutch action stiff.

once you've sorted the water pump (i'd do it before the next 100 miles or the next thread will be how to un-sieze an fzr) and got the clutch mechanism all cleaned up and the casing put back on, make sure you adjust it up properly

take out the rubber bung on the outside of the casing were you'll see a screw and lock nut, after loosening off the adjuster at the handlebar, undo the lock nut and tighten the screw till you feel some resistance then go back 1/2 a turn on the screw and tighten the lock nut
put a screwdriver through a socket, as you need to hold the screw as you tighten the nut, then adjust at the handlebars job done

but fix the water pump or you'll need a new motor :o
