Now you convinced me it is ok to lift the front, any tips on replacing fork legs?

what tips are you after? they pop out easy enough mate, and pop back in too. it will become clear once you start doing it mate, its easy, dont be worried.

Cheers, didn't know if you had to tighten the top yoke first for example or do one side and tighten or put both in and tighten them up slowly at the same time?

once you've got the front lifted and stable
(i usually put a big meaty bar under the bottom of the head stock with an axle stand either side)
you then have free movement of the forks/yolks to see if the bearings need replacing or just adjusting depending on the free play
the bar also gives you somewhere to hang the calipers when you take the forks out, (don't leave em dangling on the pipes)
when you've gone this far i'd strip and clean the forks and rebuild with new fork seals, dust covers and oil

as for putting the forks back in the yolks, there's no specific order but make sure you torque them up correctly

Thanks! Yes one of them are leaking and I have two rebuilt fork legs to put in, I was worried that lifting the front of the bike and having it left on the exhaust was not a good thing! However seems that will be ok?

it'll be fine! bit of wd40 on the legs can help if it feels a bit sticky. make sure you put them in the correct side and all will be well.
just lightly nip them up then test for wheel/bar alignment. if its out, wheel bike front wheel up against a wall or suitable sturdy object and tweak till they're in line i.e, give the wheel a whack (tyre bit only!! ) on the wall to align.
then tighten to torque. make sure the calipers are on securely and ride to test! (about 100miles in one go should make sure they're ok! )

Check the torque on the triple clamp bolts - it's not huge so be careful you don't crease the forks.

And as Taggy says make sure you check which fork goes on which side ....
