Lifting front of bike to remove forks?

Hi always use abba stand to lift bike. I need to replace front forks and need to lift the front of the bike! Has anyone used a abba stand and then lifted the front of the bike by putting a jack or lifting rail that I also got from Abba ?
A good friend on the forums said not to do this as I may damage the exhausts! If I was using a normal paddock stand on the back wheel I could understand, but abba stand pivots the bike in the middle so there would not be so much weight?
Anybody done this or got a better idea without me removing the exhausts ?
Thanks

Like this ???
The 3TJ has the engine quite high up in the frame so I had to put a couple of joists under the front lift but generally lifting a bike likt this is fine. Below is a link to a vid where I lift the Bimota in the same way, it's a heavier bike (you can see it move when I used the front lift) but again it's fine. I've asked a company if they can make a lighter exhaust system for the Bimota and told them about using the pipes to lift the bike they had no worries about it.

you could always put a block between the lift and exhaust if you are worried about the exhaust but ive never damaged them using a jack and block to lift the front.

i do the same as in the pic but with 2 jack stands under each crash bobbin, or bit of wood passed through the pipes.

Thank you all very much, I got a deal with abba where they give you a front lift that you wheel under the bike and lift with this, so I should have no troubles thanks to you guys!
