Warped front disks?

Hi done about 800 miles on my bike and now when I brake you can feel the front slowing then releasing a bit. Slowly getting worse. Are disks still available? Have to put up with it but there is no pulsing at the lever? Is it worth giving them a clean?
Thanks Mark

do you mean it feels like the brakes are coming off, you get no shudder when braking?

get yourself a ball pint pen. cable tie it to the fork leg with the point just touching the disc. spin the wheel and see if the disc either pushes the pen back or the gap between the point and disc increases. should see if it is the disc.

if it's ok i'd say drop out the wheel, remove the discs, clean the hub face and where the disc bolts to the hub, clean the discs and repeat/test using correct torque. Also check that the pistons move freely in the caliper and give the brake pads a rub with emery paper to make sure they aren't contaminated with anything.

put new fluid in too!

could it be the forks bottoming out then forcing the brakes? not sure!

loosen the pad retaining pins (usually allen bolt heads) before you take off the calipers.take calipers off, slide the pin out, pads should drop away. and as you have the calipers off, put bike on front stand, or jack it up if you are careful. use some axle stands at a push. then undo pinch bolt on right fork then the front spindle. slide it out and drop the wheel (watch out for the spacers).
make sure you dont just leave the calipers hanging on the lines and support them

Thanks for help, I have no stand at the moment but will definitely look at the pads!

What brake lines have you got on?? We had a similar problem on my sons FZR600. Turned out to be the standard brake lines. Replaced em with braided, problem sorted. Try everything else first though.
