Ever since a few weeks ago and it was revving in the workshop, it boiled it's coolant out the expansion tank. Still trying to get it right when it started dripping on the floor again the temp gauge was at the middle but the fan was not working?

I have to take the fairing off (both sides) but is the fan connector easy to find and were on earth is the fuses!

undo the fan bolts and as you drop it away follow the wires, you will see the connector, its just up at the front of the bike. dead easy! fuses are up at the rear under left side iirc!
make sure the air is all out of the rad as well. its been covered on here i think!

Ok new cap £30 !!! no difference gauge just goes over the middle and water (very hot) comes out of overflow. Earthed the gauge wire and the gauge does a sweep of the dial. I have wired the fan to be on all the time and the gauge stays about quarter off cold and stays there, no overheating even when the bike is revving so I think that rules out head gasket and the gauge is not reading right? The sensor for the gauge is £30!! And the fansensor which I have bought which was another £30!! I just can't see how to get at it to replace it? There is another post asking about that I just can't see how you do it?

you could just wire it to a switch and flick it on when it looks like it might be getting warm!
