KNACKERED IN THE USA

Post by WHEELIETHIS »

HELLO FROM ACROSS THE POND! I AM A NEW OWNER OF A NC35 THAT I WILL ATTEMPT TO REBUILD AND MAKE ROAD WORTHY. IT HAS BEEN IN STORAGE FOR 10 YRS AND IS AN EX-RACE BIKE, MEANING IT IS FUCKT. I WILL LEAN ON YOU GUYS FOR INFO AND OCCASIONAL PARTS. I ALREADY BLEW A SHIT TON OF MONEY ON EBAY FOR PARTS, PROBABLY FROM ONE OF YOU GUYS HERE.
CANT COMPLAIN TO LOUD AS I GOT THE BIKE FOR NEAR NOTHING.
HIGHLIGHTS ARE WHAT I ASSUME ARE AN HRC AIR BOX, FULL EXHAUST, RADIATORS, AND A RACE WIRE HARNESS?
LOWLIGHTS ARE NO STATOR OR ANY OTHER UNESCESARY ELECTRICS, NO AIR CLEANER, KICKSTAND BOSSES REMOVED, CRASHED MORE THAN A FEW TIMES.
THIS WILL BE A LONG PROCESS THAT I HOPE HAS A HAPPY ENDING. I WORK AT A HONDA DEALER, SO I HAVE BEEN RUNNING NUMBERS TO FIND COMPATIBLE PARTS.
AS IT SITS NOW.

great, a bunch of smart asses. i will fit right in then. i will only use caps lock when i am TRYING TO GET MY POINT ACROSS. its habit, we all use caps at work. i have already found a ton of parts that were used on other machines that came to the states, but there is alot that i will have to order from overseas. this thing is a turd right now, but all the core parts i have are in great shape or workable. the only thing i REALLY need is a stator, but i might have sourced one from here. ----> http://www.electrexworld.co.uk/g53-gene ... 029-0.html

He man I'm in the states too. I hope you can save that bike and I'm cheering for you a %1000. I wish there where more on the road here. I have 2 NC30's and an NC29. I wish I had a street legal NC35 too. Your very lucky to score one for cheap and bring it back to life.

poop. lower kit rad is swiss cheese and i am missing the starter reduction gear so the starter i have just spins happily. i am going to try to solder the rad and beg someone here to sell me a gear. it will be a long winter of scrubbing, buffing, painting and powder coating. if this is the worst ill be happy.
