Even though my bike will be off to the dyno tuners in October, does anyone have the individual k and n filters fitted? It's going to be jetted anyway but I wonder what happens to the big breather pipe that goes to the airbox?can you get a filter for it or something?
Thanks

it's the crankcase breather, you can put a filter on the end like i did on the race bike, just measure the diameter andlookf for em on ebay.

the original air filters for the 3TJ are high flow filters anyway
but if you want to use K&N then i'd go for the single K&N replacement, it fits in the air box in place of the original,
about the only advantage of this is you can take it out and wash it and you wont have to re-jet as it's a standard replacement
with 4 separate K&N pod filters you'll need to re-jet and unless it's a race machine i wouldn't bother cos MR yam did a pretty good job of sorting all this out for you
and even if you want to do this i'd still get the bike sorted in standard trim first as you do at least have the base settings to work from ;)

Pod filters don`t work well, the carbs need to draw in from still air and pods won`t give you that.
