Wheels - Powcer coat or paint?
My front wheel is very tatty, the rears not so bad but has a few chips.
I'm thinking of at least getting the front done for starters, the question is powder coat or paint? What looks the best and will last?
Cost is an issue too
Any recommendations appreciated

Re: Wheels - Powcer coat or paint?
funny enough i opted for pwdcoat in the end, wheel were just too much of a mess for paint.

however, i did get my mito wheels done in 2 pack, the most noticable differance is that the 2 pack paint wheels apper thinner,so more slick, the pwdcoat looks awsome but noticable thicker layerd than the paint.

they both cost around the same. 75 quid....for the pair

the paint was done by a friend of the old mans, for free lol but he said thats about the cost. the pwder was also done by a friend of the old mans girlfriend, lives in stubbington area , hampshire mate.he might have charged me a little less but i did ring around about 2-3 other places befor hand and got very similar quotes tbh. pwdcoating is cheap, paint should be cheaper. its all in the prep mate. i can try find out the guy if you like? what area you in?

Those are my wheels that I sprayed with 2 pack.
Generally, you get a nicer finish with 2 pack but powder coating tends to be a bit more durable.

Farnborough, I do get down Portsmouth way quote frequently though so anywhere South is no problem. cheerslizard821000 wrote:the paint was done by a friend of the old mans, for free lol but he said thats about the cost. the pwder was also done by a friend of the old mans girlfriend, lives in stubbington area , hampshire mate.he might have charged me a little less but i did ring around about 2-3 other places befor hand and got very similar quotes tbh. pwdcoating is cheap, paint should be cheaper. its all in the prep mate. i can try find out the guy if you like? what area you in?
