Sounds like someones put a few SP bits on it. The SP has tps and the connection is a triangulated threee pin connector.

tried to start again today with cdi and have a spark but still not firing ,dont think its getting fuel through ,plugs were dry. unfortunately have limited time to tinker with it so it may be a long process.

Also checked and no wires or connectors for tps on carbs. Hope to spend a bit more time trying this week so will update as and when.

after much deliberation and appearing to go round in circles i decided to start taking apart the wiring harness that appears to be ''Suspect'' . Stevie wonder could have made a better job of the loom, i found chock blocks , and all sorts of multi chopped and odd coloured wires! As i had purchased a wiring harness to take the correct non SP cdi have started to hopefully put right all the crap i have found . Am off on hols for little while with family so wiring will stay half finished for another week or so (pesky kids!) but will no doubt be back on begging for help with switch gear wiring as they had been chopped and colours really mixed up by previous owner (w***er!), thanks to all who spend time reading my rants and pity me enough to help! :peace:
