which exhausts will fit on a fzr400 3en2 - have a 3tj standard can on at the moment but looking for something a bit lighter without spending too much so was wondering if an exhaust from other "more common" bikes might fit???

Other O/E cans will probably be as heavy as the 3TJ one.
There 2 ways to do this
1. measure the pipe diameter and pick up a secondhand can of the bay, then get a link pipe to fit. You think this way would be cheap but it's not that much cheaper than ....
2. Buy a new one with a link pipe and hanger. If you go to A16 you can get a road legal (it comes with a baffle) in stainless for £145, which is good value.

Use an oval can, if you do use a round one you need to space it away from the mount so it doesn't rub the swingarm. Try to avoid a stubby, you'll get pulled and your neighbours will hate you.

it's for a trackbike so has to be a relatively quiet can, but want something a little bit noisier and freer breathing than a stock can...and also lighter - looks not so important so will probably be looking for a cheap scratched or dented can...
