Ignition hell!
Hi all just a post to see if anyone else has heard this one.
The spark on all cylinders is cutting out when just above idle the tacho goes at the same time, if I hold the throttle at 1500 \ 2000 revs it cuts in & out it seems to loose the signal from the cdi somewhere along the line.
This is doing my head in now as I fix one problem another comes up!
any ideas?

hi few things to check
1. are all electrical plugs clean and tight fitting wiring damages ?
2. bike charge rate if its above 16v or below 9.5 bike will cut charge rate must be 13.7-15.5Vdc
3. check if your model has the three wires for the gearbox switch (Black-earth, Blue-Neutral lamp, Pink gear detection) if yes is the pink cut if yes reconnect the limiter is coming in if using a resistor to earth check earth contact and if resistor is ok it must be either 1.5kohms or 0.68kohms if not change if pink direct to earth some hassle
4. check fuse box is fuse rattling or loose ?
5. is handlebar switch ok ?
if none of this helps then check pick-up and coils and coil leads if all well then you need new cdi

Hi I've checked all connectors visualy & with a meter all good. charge rate is ok, swapped a coil, I can't see a pink wire on it so I think it's a two wire switch. What do you mean about the earthing? as I think there could be a problem on mine, I will check it tomorrow.
