Looking over the bike today for the first time, noticed some goop in the header tank, quite hard and dry but creamy colour. No sign of anything in the oil, it is a 1992 76 what do you reckon?

remove tank clean it thoroughly and refit open rad cap and see if all is well if so close n fill tank

on most suzies due to EPA kak , suzuki runs the over flow pipe from header tank to a T-piece one end to the fuel tank the other to the bottom of the bike problem is the angle the the T-piece sits and pipe length (normally cut shorter to tidy up the bike or due pipe splitting at ends) this causes fuel vapour (and pure fuel if you over fill the bike once to often) to enter the radiator header tank my suggestion is remove T-piece and just run new longer pipes out behind motor to the bikes under carage or if you want to keep T-piece position it so t on its back the upper bit goes to fuel tank the right side of T-piece to header tank and left side is over flow line out to bike under carage and the T-piece Must sit below the bottom line of the header tank
