Looking for help from NI nc30 owners. Am about to MOT my nc30 for the first time since buying.

I know the process is different here than in England. The bikes last MOT was passed in 2004 here.

The only concern i really have is with the dipped and main beam settings. I think its supposed to flip up on the left but not sure of exact requirements and was wondering if anyone has experience of mot'ing jap models here and if the beam needs to be altered from standard settings to pass.

The Japanese ride on the same side of the road as we do so nothing to be worried about. :D

As Mark said above, Japanese lights beam in the same direction as ours. I've never had an issue with mine. My last MoT I only had 1 light with a yellow cover on it, but then again, the MoT centre on the Boucher Road know nothing about anything.

haa haa, reminds me on my last MOT, i had one of my bulbs pointing skyward and the other was ok. passed fine, usually dead on, or dont have a clue in most cases.

i took my nc30 for a MOT in enniskillen.
i drove in, the gut tried to check the headlight aim but couldn't set the machine up, so moved on.
he ran his finger around the fork seal and the brake banjos looking for leaks.
i was sitting on the bike and he asked me to use the brake to see if the brake lights were working. i used the back brake and it worked, the front didn't so i cheated and used the rear again.
passed no probs, it was slack to the say the least, but discretion is a great thing!!
