Tokico 6 pots

Hi all,

I believe Tokico 6 pots fit the GK76A model. I've measured the hole distance which seems correct at 90mm but just wondered if the disc diameter is the same as those models that wear the 6 pots as standard? Will this matter? And do fitting them require any other mods?

Cheers.

Yes, i have Tokico 6 pots on my ZX7r, they need constant attention to keep them on top form. Also, because of their relatively large size they can't dissipate heat very quickly, and have a tendency to warp discs. Funnily enough, some ZX7r owners swap their 6 pots for 4 pots from GSXr's, to avoid these issues and get a braking power increase into the bargain...

Unless your original brakes are shot, my advice is to give them a good service, and do the often neglected usual suspects.. like new fluid, pads, seals and dust seals. It can transform your brakes to as good as new. Luckily for me, a friend has stripped and cleaned my calipers for my sons GK73a, should help him stop..
