Hi all
I have got a small problem starting my little Genesis. Pushing the button gets nothing. All fuses are good, Battery is good, all lights come up as they should. When I push the button the oil light comes up as it should, The kill switch is clean and rust free. I can bump start it. I have replaced the starter relay with a brand new one. I have been through the wiring as much as possible and can't find anything wrong. I'm at a loss. Any ideas please.

The solenoid switch is first, follow the red live from the battery and it goes to the solenoid, then from there to the starter motor.
With the bike ready to start, obviously in neutral bridge the two terminals with an old screwdriver. It will spark but don't worry. If the bike then starts replace the solenoid.
If this doesn't work theres a black square block on the rear subframe with a block connector going into it. Check the blue wire is intact (my 3en2's broke off once).
But do the solenoid first

Have a look at the black block - sorry it's such a lame description in the middle of the subframe on this side.
I don't know what it is or even what it does !!!
I guess you've bridged the starter button ???
Bridged the side stand kill switch ???
Checked the neutral switch ???
Pulled the clutch in and tried starting it and bridged the clutch switch ???

Thanks for the reply EC. No I haven't done any of that, it's bike electrics and I'm knackered when it comes to them. I'll give them a look tonight after work.

Just relax about it and you'll probably find fairly quickly.

Had a look around and got this
It's the wiring diagram from a FZR600 ... it's USA and shows an exup servo to the right, but the principal's the same.
The solenoid or Starter Relay is bottom center/right you see the blue white wire (?) follow that into the Relay (that's the thing I couldn't remember) and from there to the Starter Switch on the clip-on. Check those connections and block connector 1 towards the clip-on , 1 at the relay and 1 bullet connector at the solenoid.
the Neutral switch is probably ok if the light comes on
So then it's the clutch switch and side stand switch - like I say bridge the contacts - just use a shot piece of wire.
