3EN1 Front brake hoses
Hi, just wondered if the 3en1 front hoses are the same as the 3tj ones? Or anybody know were i can get some cheap, i tried ebay but it was just coming up with 3tj stuff. Maybe if anybody knows wat length they should be i can get some made up, was thinking having two hoses( one for each caliper would be better than loads a joins).
Mine is still one its original rubber hoses but they seems to be swelling more than usuall!
Cheers
Ian

Re: 3EN1 Front brake hoses
The 3TJ's are shorter, the 3TJ sit's lower that the 3EN's
There are two words you don't really want together, brakes and cheap, and by cheap I mean poor quality.
The 3EN's need a 3 line set if you keep the original master cylinder, the double banjo bolt for a race setup will hit the rev counter and that's an MOT fail. You might move the throttle along the bar if you put a spacer at the end so the it doesn't rub on the bar end but I think I remember the cables are tight on full lock again MOT fail.
Either fit the 3TJ master and reservior (you'll need to mount the res somehow) with a 2 line, or just use a 3 line kit with the original splitter, 3 lines are just as effective as 2 and it's a lot easier. Measure your lines and get them made.
Now the killer, don't use secondhand rubber lines. Remember yours are 23 years old !!! Bite the bullet and buy some braided steel ones you'll thank yourself for it everytime

Cheers for the reply, i think i just take the pipes into the hydraulics shop and say make shiny stainless new ones please, and go pick them up a couple of hours later.
Im bored of trying to bleed them and stop leaver coming back to the bar now so may aswell as start again with fresh pipes and fluid.
Cheers
