Hey guys, i'm having some trouble getting the oil filter off my NC35, first time i've seen the oil filter like this haha. I believe i have completely threaded/shredded the oil filter nut. Are there any other alternative ways of getting the oil filter off. One of my mates told me to stab it with a screw driver LOL

Stab it with a screwdriver but make sure there is enough room to move the screwdriver in the direction it needs to go.

I had a bitch of a time with my NC30 oil filter (same as 35 i think). Didn't have my filter wrench so had to undo it by hand. Took me a good half hour. Used some dishwashing gloves to get some extra grip. Was close to getting out a scewdriver and stabbing it.

If it has some flats on the end of it, stab it through there! Big screwy, it will leak on you and the more leverage the better.

When you fit your next one, hand tight and check it after your first ride...no need to screw them on so tight!

I remember my 30 oil filter being tough too. I used a hammer to stab a big screw driver all the way through so it comes out of the other side. The metal is very soft and will probably tear if the screw driver isn't properly stuck in there.
I made a proper hash of mine. It looked like a coke can that had been stood on by the time I'd managed to get it off.

I use a "Boa" for pipes ,make sure the filter is clean of oil and that will get even teh most stubbon filters off

haha i looks like this was a common problem and fix as i had to do the screwdriver method also!

quality, i have a brilliant mental image now that made me laugh, i too give mine the big screwdriver treatment to "unscrew" them
