My starting woes

Hey guys, bike in question is a gk76a.
Got the bike as a non runner, would turn over but not fire up.
Got her home put petrol in and tried starting her......fuel was pouring out everywhere....so pulled the carbs out and replaced all orings and float hieghts.
Installed back in and found that the fuel tap was'nt working....ordered a rebuild kit and installed that.....when tank is off the bike, fuel tap turned to prime i get fuel flow, when on the on, or reserve position, i get no fuel, so my assumption is that the fuel tap is working, yes?

The mistake i made was, i was trying to do two things at once...i put everything back on the bike and turned the fuel tap to prime, then realised i had to pick up the kids from school, which i did but left the fuel tap on prime, by the time i got back, fuel had leaked everywhere....turned fuel tap to the on position and the fuel eventually stopped.
tried to start it up again but it would'nt turn over and just heard a clicking noise.

So the questions are;
1......have i flooded the carbs? how do i unflood them?

2......Is it hydrolocked? how do i unhydrolock it?sorry wrong term but you know what i mean.

3......what do i need to do to fix the problem?

4........Why am i getting a clicking sound?

Thanks for any input guys and sorry for the long winded post.....

just a quick one. do not under any circumstances turn the 76a over without plugs in the end of the leads. \y all means take the plugs out and put them in the leads and turn it over. The cdi's have a habit of gong pop without plugs in.

The fuel tap in on and reserve is only on when vacuum from the engine opens the tap.
Two larger pipes carry fuel to the carbs. One smaller pipe goes to the inlet to operate the tap.

Small update guys...took plugs out, as instructed ans connected the coils back on them.
Went to turn her over and fuel gushed out of cylinder 1 ie. the one on the left if sitting on it.
But whist cranking it ove,r it was'nt making the normal sound but a clicking noise...
How to i resolve tis? or where should i be looking.
Thanks for any info in advance guys........cheers!

Well the first time it pushed fuel out....the second time it did'nt and i don't think the engine was turning over, just clicking...
