Hi Parus,
I had a mate do mine at a bike shop. He bought the shims individually based on the sizes he needed. Not sure where he got them from though.

Too many bikes, so little time!

Yes it looks like they'll work, the 29 uses 7.48 mm shims as do the other bikes on this list (which ironically doesn't have the 29 on it)

Re: Shim kit required.
what happens if you need four of the same size Parus? Can you not go to a local bike shop and order them that way or try Graeme France. Its gonna work out a lot cheaper than the kit that you are looking at on ebay. Just a thought

Re: Shim kit required.
Good question. Especially if I will need more than 4 same size.
Here is no local bike shop selling this stuff unfortunatelly.

The odds of needing four shims the same size are incredibly low - you'd be more likely to win the lottery

Bingo! If you're ever going to do more than one shim adjustment then the full kits pays for itself. I was aghast when I paid a shop to do my last one for me, they charged $70 for 6 exchange shims (I didn't even get to keep the old ones)superlite wrote:The odds of needing four shims the same size are incredibly low - you'd be more likely to win the lottery
