130 will flatten the profile. you may use more of the tyre but not sure it will get you any lower!

Stick to the factory size and find a sticky compound. You won't go lower in the corner because the wheel rim will touch down in the same place.
Besides if you were leaning that far you'd already know it's the can followed by the pegs that drags.

Sounds like you've found the limit. You might get some more speed using a different body position, your head should be near the inside bar and you should have 1.5 cheeks off the saddle holding the bike more upright as you do it.
You'll be "faster" through the bend if you slow down a little because if the bike is pushing wide you haven't the best line, unless you've allowed for that drift anyway.
So now it's not about your tyres or your speed, it's all about your suspension.

Is it a 3EN2 or 3TJ? It just sounds like an odd tyre size is all

The 3TJ should have a 160/60 17 and the 3EN2 had a 140/70 18 as standard.

That means your bars will be below the top yoke .... you have a 1989 FZR400R 1WG 3EN2 Exup.
They have 41mm dia forks with 298mm dia discs, it will have "3en" on the cdi under the riders seat.
like this huh ???
