Stood for 5 years, won't rev.

Post by Lee069 »

Hi people, decided to get back into biking again and bring the old lady back into the sun light, but she doesn't want to play.

Stand for 5 years has rotten the collector box and this could be my problem I guess. She will start on full choke but a touch of the throttle and she stop's. As she warm's up the rev's climb but there is little power there and the rev's seem to hunt around. I have emptyed the tank and filled with new fuel as well as taking out the plugs and gave them a clean. New battery fitted as well, any idea's what I could try and anyone know where I could get a less holey collector box from.

Regards Lee...
