Tappets or shims?

Post by madam_cazlee »

Hi,

I Have a GK73a which i've recently got up and running as my first project bike - at the MOT I was told that "either the tappets or shims need doing"....

Which does it have? (+any further advice on the job itself is more than welcome!!)

Thanks

Hi,
No shims on the 73a so you just adjust the tappet pins. If you do the work yourself save ya self a load of time by removing the rad and coils as this makes the jod 100 times easier. :peace:
