Hi guys,
I know I have posted a few topics relating my bike. It's getting on my nerves now. I finally got it started the other day. I wanted to test it out by riding it up my road and back, it was riding ok but as soon as I turned my lights on as it was getting dark and a few seconds after my bike just stopped completely. I checked all of the fuses but they were all fine.
Please help, I need my bike back and Im loosing patience with it.
Cheers,

Hey,
Check your battery to see if its holding charge(stick it on a charger for a while to see if it takes it),next stop would be reg/rec and check all associated wiring to/from etc. Sounds just like my other half`s gixer when the reg/rec failed on that buddy. Will it start now with a good battery on it/jump leads?. Have you got a volt meter to check to see if it is charging?
Sorry i cant be anymore help mate.....

It was a new battery, I made sure that the battery was fully charged and the last one stopped holding its charge. I have a volt metre so I will that a go. It seemed like something like a main wire somewhere just came off. I will give it a good check with the volt metre and see where it is all going.
Cheers Andy,

When the other halfs bike reg/rec failed it felt like it had been turned off and just ground to a halt, almost like you described like the main feed coming off...

Reg/rec failure cooked the battery so completely dead until i replaced the battery/reg/rec.

I had something similar happen. Soon as I turned a corner the bike cut out. Worked out to be a wiring short by the handle bars.

Hi guys, I have checked my bike over with the voltage metre and my battery is fine, checked the bottom of the fuse box where I had a connector corrode and had to fit terminal connectors to replace the plug. One came off when I was checking it so I replaced it but still no power. Could this be the rec/reg? How do I check it? I need my bike back, its been nearly 2 months.
Cheers,

Found it, checked the ignition barrel wires, and the genius mechanic at SeaStar rested the wires on the radiator and screwed them. I have power now!
