YB7 1989, FZR400 engine. Currently I've only covered about 15miles on it as I've recently bought it.
5.5k on the lock.
FZR400 2TK
...with the 750cc Bim.
The Bims together YB7 and YB4

Yeah, about two weeks ago

I followed the thread on here, and other forums about it. Then I joined this forum as I'd been visiting it for a while and I'd now got two 400's.
It wasn't the original plan. I've owned the YB4 from new and through the years owned quite a few 750's, 350YPVS, ZXR400, etc. For the last 8ish years I've only had the YB4, which is in original condition, and I wanted a bike to tweek, swap parts, do plenty of miles on, etc. I ended up buying the 2TK last year but decided to restore rather than mod!
I think to myself, right lets look for a bike to mod. Very cheap and it doesn't have to even be a runner. What did I buy? Another friggin' bike that'll stay factory.
At least I can spread the miles over three bike now and not worry about it. I did quite a few miles on the 2TK at the end of the year. Great smiles per mile.

I love the YB4. Fuel injection with the FZ750 engine. Great throttle response and plenty of power for me (probably a bit more than I need) with a great sound. The YB7 I'm still to find out, it's a lot smoother ride than the other Bim. They both feel really 'planted'. The YB7 has a sweet induction noise from the air intake, it sounds completely different to the 2TK, although the 2TK has the micron on. (Which may have a trial fit on the YB7

) Both Bims are surprisingly comfy when you get them rolling.

Cheers, I'm in the Derby/Notts area.

When I saw the colour scheme on the YB7, that was the tipping point for the purchase.
