Painted and polished

Well i'm finally getting there , I would hate to add up what I have spent and the hours I have put in to get the bike looking like this . So far I have just about stripped , cleaned , overhauled or replaced about every component on it with the final touches being the freshly painted rear seat panels and colourcoding the rear hugger , only a couple of minor things left to do but Im sure it wont stop there

Did you respray the chainguards too?
Cant make it out from the photos, looks good though and the best thing to do is don't ever add up the cost of what you have replaced, resprayed.
Who did you get to do the respray for you?

Who did you get to do the respray for you?

A local chap called Chris Ceaser did the spraying for me , also a little plastic welding and the price was very reasonable . The chainguard I rubbed down with 1200 wet and dry then buffed the life out of it to get it shiny but it took ages

Very Nice. How long will it stop like that in this weather? Are you adding any more graphics? If you want highly polished black plastic I found Autoglym super resin polish works nice but make sure you want it polished as it does take any matt look out of the plastic. Also a smattering of nice stainless bolts would finish the look of your bike for me.

All the fairing bolts have been replaced with a black set from pro bolt , I'm gonna change the rear sprockets nuts to gold and have polished up most of what is left , where would you fit stainless ones ?

Depends on your taste and budget but I would go for Probolt stainless on various places but the wheels and brake areas are a good place to start, caliper mounting points, pad pins and covers, even the nipples. for the wheels I would go for wheel and sprocket nuts, rear chain adjusters and pinch bolts. Depending on your thoughts on putting stainless on the discs you could add rotor bolts. There are few other places such as tank, engine, various clamps, heel plates and even the airvent guides.

My thoughts on stainless may no be to everyones taste but I go with the theory of it doesnt matter how nice the bike looks a rusty nut aint a tasty nut and the casual observer will almost certainly point it out, even if the bike looks as nice as yours but if you add stainless they will not realize why it is so clean but will admire it more.. Also dont fade over time they will stop shiny, very low maintanance.

I hope you dont think I was being negative to your very nice bike, just wanted to add something to the very nice bit..

Great looking, but I can't help but keep getting drawn to the fact there looks to be 3 different paint schemes on the go.
Seat unit, tank and mids/lowers.

Haven't put any graphics back in to match the tank yet , not sure if I want to cos I like the way it looks now , I may tie the front end in at some point with a new set but I like things kinda simple
