handlebars helllppp
arghhh this handlebar problem is driving me nuts!!
(many apologies fer asking so much stuff guys but let me assure you i rly do appreciate all your help)
ok here we go lol.... my bike came with a set of straight bars on it (drag bars basically) and although im 5ft 10 theyre not ideal for me.. also the brake lever cant get adjusted down enuff for where i like it as the hoses knock out on the top yokes as its all so close. basically i was wondering if one of you people with original cb400sf bars could take some measurements for me.. width, rise etc so i can get some thatlll be as close to original as possible.. either that or maybe someone doesnt want their originals after fitting aftermarket ones and maybe wants to throw them in my direction at whatever sensible price.
so far ive tried a set of streetfighter 810mm bars... didnt feel right for me, and also my m8's er6 ones he took off his bike... they felt kinda right but i dont think they are quite it.
neways im harping on now lol... thank you in advance for yer help and for all the advice and help youve given me so far :D

Hmm, well I can remember coming across handlebars for the Super Four on eBay at one point, so could be an idea to start there. They had been Official Honda ones and were New. As for aftermarket ones I reckon most people seem to go for Renthals and it would basically depend on which kind felt most suitable for you. I've always meant to upgrade to Renthals but just can't afford to change anything at the minute.

Meno,
Found the same problem as you. Bought some new risers from Moore Speed Racing which should be enough to solve the problem and I've got some Goodridge brake lines to fit and the fittings are narrower so will also help.
Anyway, so there must be a pair of standard bars lurking in my garage you could have if you don't find an alternative. I'll have a look this weekend and post another reply,

Meno,
I actually found them lurking in a box, will find out how much postage is and let you know. They're not factory perfect but look OK for 14 years old. I'll try and post a couple of pictures,
Tony
