Hi fellas
My mirrors are rusting and ive never really liked the look of them- too "perky" . Are mirrors fairly interchangeable between models/makes? Has anyone got/ever seen a superfour with non-standard mirrors (houdini's mirrors look different)? What bike are they from? etc.
Cheers

I'll replace the mirrors on my CB400 with round ones as used on the CB750 old-style. All that's needed is a 10 mm thread to fit them in. You'll discover what thread you need by removing your mirrors.

You can get near-standard looking ones from Gericke for £10 a side. The chrome isn't as good as original though, use wd40 not autosol on them. or they'll only rust. Most cheapo mirrors are actually chromed plastic, where the chrome comes off and it goes green due to the copper used to electrolyse the chrome to.
Unless yours are really nasty, just stick with them, any cheap parts you fit will be horrible inside 6 months anyway.

My Version R had had some brand new pattern chromed steel mirrors fitted a few days before I bought it last September. They're rusty as hell now. I'm going to get some new pattern ones for Sunday best only, and use the old rusty ones in the winter...
Anyone know how much Honda mirrors cost?

I bought some Motrax ones last year as I was fed up with cheapo plastic/big rusty ones. The motrax ones have lasted surprisingly well and haven't corroded at all.
