GK76A Shock?

Post by rgvsp »

I was hoping someone on the board might be able to identify this as a shock off a GK76 or not. Mine is a standard 1990 model so it did not come with a shock with a remote resevoir. All the shocks I've seen off GSXR400R's have a black nob to adjust on the remote resevoir. Mine has a slot for a screwdriver. It also has 0D1 at the top of the shock.

My '92 has a shock with a remote reservoir. Not sure if that is one just by your picture. I'll have a look at mine later today if no one else comes back to you.

Looks a lot like my '92 SP, but I can't be sure. It certainly looks like it's in good condition though.

Mine says 2-6H at the top. Do you know where this one came from? Might have a clue on the spring value then, no point if it came from 750 or 1000 gixxer, too stiff.

No, the owner I purchased the bike from had zero information on the bike. Is your bike a 1990 model? I did happen to find a 400 for sale in Japan that atleast has the same remote resevoir as mine. First one I've seen like mine. Is this possibly the way the 1990 remote resevoirs where? Although, the bike in the picture is not a 1990 SP unless it was repainted.

Mine is a '92, it's not a SP model. If you look here: http://www.suzukicycles.org/All-Suzuki/ ... odels.html
You will see that 1990 SP did indeed have a remote reservoir and that in 1991 it became standard kit. Here is a pic of my tail section.

Yeah, that is what I guess I'm looking for. Does anyone have a 1990 SP or a picture of a 1990 SP's shock/remote resevoir so I can see if it matches mine (slot for screw driver vs black nob).

If you PM me your email ad I'll send you a pic of the 1990 SP I used to have. Don't have a close up of the resevoir I'm afraid but it may help.
