Lights and forks

Hi All,

Please accept my apologies if you experienced RVF guys have seen these question asked before.

The bike I have has what they call the running lights still fitted. The front indicators have two filiments in them and are permanetly when on riding, a Japenese thing I suspect. I have yet to get a wiring diagram so is it just a case of chopping a wire to eliminate the running filament or is it more difficult to convert to UK spec.

The fork seals are leaking so I have replacement seals ready to fit (Honda ones) I have done several older right way up forks seals before but not upside down ones. Are there any particular problems with the RVF USD forks that I should be aware of?

Many thanks
Gav

Yep it's just a wire.

You'll see 3 wires going to each indicator.. i belive one of them might have a white stripe down them? I'm pretty sure thats the one you need to cut.

Do you have the haynes book, it actually has some pretty useful pictures for Fork section...

Hi,

Thanks, yes I have a Haynes manual on the way, however, having used them for the last 30 years I know that they don't always tell the truth....... eh I mean the full story sometimes. ;) ;)
