Anyone know a good place to get some new carb gaskters and o-rings for my VFR400Z? Also looking to replace the the plastic doughnuts (intake rubbers that secure carb to heads). Good suggestions will get a pint from me if in St Albans area! Cheers

You can get non-standard float chamber o-rings from forum member Rick Oliver - very cheap and work well (nc21 uses the same as nc30). I'm not sure what other o-rings you need, but just grab an assorted pack of sizes in viton material (more resistant to fuel & air than plain rubber).
The nc30 carb manifold rubbers will work fine with nc21/24 carbs also (get them from Davild Silvers spares or Rick Oliver).
You can put the pint in the mail!

NC21 carb rubbers are different to NC24 rubbers!!
There discontiniued too, David Silvers might have some in you'll have to call them.. not cheap though, about £10 each.

So far working on first carb I have removed float chamber cover hence need new gasket, all the jets ready for cleaning and have also removed the pilot screw which includes a spring and (according to Haynes) a washer and o-ring that must be replaced. So far all that came out the hole was the pilot screw and spring - can't see in the hole very well but maybe best left alone at this point if there is indeed a washer and o-ring still in there and doesn't want to come out! So how do I get in touch with Rick Oliver for some new gaskets/jets? The other post from Cammo is a great help and should have read that first - doh!

The o-rings and washers get stuck in there all the time.... can be a right pita to get out too..
Probably wise to make sure there all still there then reset the pilot screws.
Knack to getting them out :-)
It should go
Pilot Screw -> Spring -> Metal Washer -> Rubber O Ring.
There more than likely wedged in there, I use a tiny hook to get them out, then once i'm sure there all ok dont' mess with them again :D
I don't replace the float bowl gaskets either unless they leak, which is very rare..
