GSXR 400 GK76a - Spark then no spark?

Hi, just fitted a new coil pick up to my 76a and finally (after fitting a new loom and cdi) got it sparking on all four plugs.

I put all the plugs back in and tried starting her up but no, so took all plugs out again and turned it over and now have no spark. So i refitted the original cdi i got with the bike and that sparked on 1st press of the starter, but nothing on 2nd press apart from a spark a few seconds after releasing the starter button.

What would cause it too loose spark like this? Could it be the reg/rec? The wiring plug has been chopped so im not sure if its wired right. Has anyone got a pic of the plug to the reg/rec so i could check the wiring?

Im beginning to loose interest in it.

I fully charged the loose car battery again and connected it with jump leads to the bike.

It sparked for about 20seconds and then the spark slowly started getting weaker to nothing?
