bog down in first

I've actually got to ride my bike the last few days which has been nice..but it has led to more questions..
In first when accelerating at around 9k it bogs down and then as it pulls through it regains the power at around 11k. It feels like some ones pulling me back and letting me go for the duration. But this only happens in first. It has a standard air filter and exhaust and is running good apart from getting a tad hot when in traffic. Any ideas?
Cheers
Jack

VFR, not sure if it was at full throttle.
I took it out again the next day and it didn't do it...ran very well actually.
Untill I found the oil leak from the sump gasket that was...grrrrr!

I'm having the exact same problem but mine seem to be in every gear, seems to be a form of fuel starvation. May be my fuel filter which is blocked but what else could it be if it's not the problem?

Vaccumn pipe spilt / leaking perhaps? Causing the fuel flow to shut off / slow down at high RPM? I've had it before
