Hi,
I'm a new member as of today :). I have some experience with working on bikes.. Nothing exceptional though!

I have began working on this GSXR 73A I got hold of, and I am stripping it completely and refurbishing every part..

Now, there are two things I am stumped on already :)

#1 - I found this loose near the Battery!? What is it for? I cant find a suitable connection for it... Thanks.

#2 - I found this, which appears to be a coolant reservoir. There is a tube coming out of the left with an attachment for two more tubes, one which goes nowhere.. and the second which has no tube on..

Also, is the Blue selected tube supposed to go onto the reserviour cap (red) ? I think it should.. but I want to make sure!

So, the questions really are: Where do the tubes go to? and why is there no tube on the attachment?

Thank you! :)

Hi the first thing looks like the flasher relay but could be the starter relay they are always situated near the battery. The tubes from your coolant reservoir you should have one that goes to the radiator, the other is just a breather & will usually be routed down through the frame to exit underneath don't think there should be another unless there's a return on the coolant tank?

Thanks for the info on those issues! When it comes to rebuilding the bike, I'll keep that in mind :) Much appreciated!
