water in engine?

today on the way into work it was pissing it down, about 15 min into the journey my bike started running like it was running out of fuel but it wasnt it has happened once before but in the rain aswell could water be getting thru my air filter? has anyone experienced anything of this sort. or any thoughts cheers

More likely to be water in your electrics. Wet and dodgy conection somewhere.

Some years ago when I had an NC24 which didn't park under cover, I had a problem starting it... it would start run for a bit then cut out...I couldn't figure out what the problem was.. then I discovered that water was getting into the fuel through the fuel filler cap. It wasn't sealing properly and the "overflow" hole was blocked... so water got into the fuel system... the bike would run then splutter splutter splutter until I drained the carbs and changed the fuel and made sure water didn't get in there again....
Dunno if that's your problem... just thought I'd put forward the possibility of it

Check that the spark plug drain holes are unblocked - take the fairings off and you should be able to see them.
