RVF400 - What Rear Wheels will fit??
Hi all..
I have an NC35 RVF400 and im looking at running a different rear wheel. Im wondering will the NC30 VFR400 18" wheel bolt straight up? and will there be any clearance issues or delemas?
Has anyone ever done a rear wheel conversion on an NC35 before? What can be done? I want a bigger rear wheel!
Any help appreciated..

What do you mean by bigger?
The 18" rear doesn't have the same amount of tyres available for it as the 17" RVF as you can put a 160/60 rear on the 17" and get more choice of rubber.
the 18" is more limited.
Anything else will change the ride height / handling.
What are you trying to achieve?

I guess overall i'm looking at making the bike look bigger, as im not a small guy im 6"1 and 110kgs.. but because im a learner the laws here in Australia restrict my choice of bikes.. ive been told i look too big for the bike by almost everyone i know
lol also, what are the affects the handling (ie.. good/bad) and what size tyre can i run on the 18? is there also a way lift the rear ride height? thanks for the replies..

18's do look better if you ask me but i wouldnt put one on an RVF, you cant run a 160 on a 18 so it'll kinda defeats the object of what your trying to do. VFR750 rear wheels fit with a moddified hub if you have the cash to splash.
You can jack the standard suspension up a bit with a spacer above the shock or get a decent aftermarket shock which are usually longer with height adjustment. TBH i dont think your every overcome the fact that you look big on the bike, most people do on these little V4's.

lol true! its a shame they arent just a little bit bigger! ok.. well i think going a 160 on the 17" would be a better idea.. ill have a look at adjusting height with spacers next time i get a chance.. (which would be basically never.. 'cause i just cant help riding the thing every time i look at it :) ) thanks heaps..

If you do get round to jacking it up the spacer is u shaped and not round. Do a search for HRC jack up spacer or something along them lines and all shall be revealed
