I currently have the OEM coolant bottle on my bike and i hate the location and size of it. I want to get a HRC style coolant bottle and want to relocate it.

So where can i relocate the new coolant bootle and how shall i keep it fixed in the new postion?

Thanks.

The HRC overflow bottle fits nicely attached to the left hand side of the top radiator (positioned on the front) using a couple of zip-ties which fit neatly through the radiator fins. Then feed the tube through to the right hand side and connect like the OEM tube.

:plus: If you're not running lights though, it'll fit nicely in front of your clocks.

Just to reaffirm, put the the bottle on the top radiator on RIDERS LHS?

Put it where you want....get one, havea look and you will see where it can and can't go.

I think either on the top rad, right hand side, next to the top cap or further forwards in the cowl...

I like ot be able to see mine as I do not have a fan, I can tell it is going to boil over easier....

Yep your right best to test fit and see where i like it best.

Couple more questions.........

- Should i use only 1 hose with it going to the rad or should i use 2 i.e. one to the rad and one at the top of my coolant bottle acting as an overflow?

- How much coolant should i have in the bottle?

Thanks.

You don't need an overflow hose as 250 ml is ample to catch the coolant as it expands.

Ideally none. If the radiator is full when cold, then the bottle will fill as the engine warms up and then retun the coolant to the cooling sytem as the bike cools again (make sure you put the hose all the way to the bottom of the bottle). Of course, you will get losses over time, so it wouldn't hurt to have a bit of coolant in the bottle if you don't check your radiator regularly (and if the hose isn't quite picking up the dregs) :peace:
