you can fit a wider wheel in the std swingarm. 5.5 inch off a 98 model cbr900rr fireblade. 5 spoke wheel. lathe down the 900rr sprocket carrier and make some new spacers. you'll only have a few mm in the end to play with. its doable, been done. my bike is proof. lathe the sprocket carrier to suit the 400 sprockets aswell ;) change the studs to bolts and obviously new wheel bearings to suit the 400 axle. use the std 400 spacer for the right hand side.

Could you upload the picture ? Like to check - how it looks. And how about hub - can I use stock one or need to buy from cbr900 ?

And does the chain touch tyre ?

SS400 closed in Ukrainian championship - so, I have good bike - I don't like to sell it. So, I will continue my technical experiments and will make "bike for look" :))) to be open...
