Ok, I'm wanting to re-spray my ride (GK76a) in traditional blue and white Gixxer colours.
Can anybody suggest how I would be able to reproduce the design on the fairings? I've been looking at pictures and frankly, it's making my head hurt!

Hi J,
Its a very simple design and is just three shades of blue on top of a white base. You would etch the panels, then a coat of white and then use a low tack masking to leave the areas to be painted blue.

Oh yeah, super simple!
Nah seriously I know the technique, but that's not going to be an easy design to mask off free-hand. Especially not if i'm just working off a couple of fairly small photos. There's a suprising lack of good quality shots around.

the white on my 90sp was a pearl white. Certain parts of the blue was decals. Look in the suzuki parts book and match the colour code you have to the one under the seat. If its not there show a pic of what your after and i'll get you the code details

My bike is currently silver, i'm not sure if that's the colour it should be, because the tank and some of the panels have blue & white underneath the silver.

This is the colour scheme i'd like to copy:

I can't see any colour codes under the seat, where should I be looking?

Thinking about getting mine resprayed too, will probably keep it black and red though. Bike paints aren't far from me but I think they might be out of my price range! May be worth looking out for good used blue and white body work, may take a while to find mind you.
