CBR 600 Fl Engine problem..

Looks like the engine in my bike may have some problems..

It has been drinking a little oil and water over the past 3000 miles or so.. It has no running problems and doesn't over heat.

The exhaust does not smoke and no evidence of creamy oil or water. The breather pipe has a little oil and smoke coming out of it.

Any ideas? Hope its not bad... :peace:

Make sure your not running rich and washing the bores.
Mine did this due to the different engine angle tilted the carbs so the fuel level was high, had to adjust the floats. It still smokes at 14K tho.
Do you get a misfire at 3K.

No missfire.. defo running rich..

what do you mean by washing the bores? washin them in petrol? i thought running rich would only increase carbon build up..

thats a good point about the engine levell. what adjustment did you make to them?
