Has anybody had to change the bulbs behind the clocks? I don't need to ride it in the dark but I suppose I will have to change it at some point. Is it an easy thing to do? Don't want to start it and wish I hadn't of bothered!

Yep its an easy enough job, you need to remove the chrome cover 5 or 6 screws i think.
that will alow you to see the rubber bulb holders for the bulbs that need changing, pull them out and pop in the new bulb. Replace the cover and your done.
They use capless bulbs, you can get them at most car shops.
Hope this has helped.

Yeah very helpful, thanks. The 2 lower screws were a little fiddly, especially with the cable and connectors for the heated grips in the way. I took one of them out and took it to Halfords but they don't do one with the same Watt rating

It occurred to me that it is odd that all 3 (I'm assuming there are only 3, thats all that there looked to be there) bulbs were out. Either they had been out for a long time and all 3 gone, or something has caused them all to go at the same time - I have only had the bike a month so I don't know the answer. Only one way to find out, change them and find out (or use a voltmeter which I don't have!)

well whenever I first got my SF years ago I noticed on my first night ride that I couldn't see the clocks and it turned out all the bulbs had blown, so I changed them and have had no problems since, so no idea why they'd all go at once, but hasn't been an issue for me, thankfully. Hope that's of some help

I changed them over the weekend and all seems to be good now. Hopefully I will be able to see my speed on the way home tonight, I wont have to guess at the lone speed camera on the unlit road on the way home from work.
