WIll an RVF shock fit on a VFR iwth no dramas?? I actually have a RVF linkage to fit to go with th 17 inch rear so shouldnt be a problem that end but what about at the top, The VFR shock is getting tired and havent the money to replace with a top spec one so hopefully this will work.

RVF shock is no better than a VFR one. If you don't already have the RVF shock save the cash and get the VFR one rebuilt/serviced.
