As per the title ? Ive seen the odd 1-2 advertised as "rare UK model, with MPH speedo" someone told me there we're a few, but with the amount of knowledge on this site im more inclined to believe the "yes" or "no" answer im going to get !

Ok, no official UK models were produced with any UK specs. But the last few remaining new J-spec ones were sold in the UK if I read the adverts right in some of the later Greybike mags. Which means yes you could buy a new NC29 in the UK but it still would be a Jap spec model.
More than likely those speedos came off a CBR900 as they are the same but with MPH. One thing not related but I read a test where they said the clocks on the "babyblade" came straight from a CBR900, well me thinks thats should be the other way around as the "babyblade" was out before the 900 with the same clocks.
Im not sure how many NC29s were sold but per year Honda estimated maybe 14000 L models, 4500 N models and 2500 R models per year in their sales plan. So there was quite a few about.

with a 900RR clock and Low Beam Relay simple mod, it will become UK spec, mate!

As good as, once its unrestricted as most are nowadays I would have thought and even trhe headlamps fall to the proper side, although I heard the pesky indicator lenses are not EU marked and may fail an MOT, damn I will have to leave my bike off the road.zul_cbr wrote:with a 900RR clock and Low Beam Relay simple mod, it will become UK spec, mate!

Im sure you can use those early type of clocks but it maybe cheaper just to get a convertor, try wemoto, Busters etc..
