By the look of the gear chart on the packet it appears to be a speed derestrictor.

That only one info I found about this.
Makes a stronger spark and increases throttle response for better acceleration out of the corners.
This little black box simply plugs into your stock wiring harness and mounts in the stock location.
Allows rev past 12,000 RPM

I think the technical term for this stuff is "Bullshit" How does it do what it says?
If anything, introducing another box and more wiring in betweent he CDI and coils would just be more restriction. Better throttle response? How? Your carbs and your throttle cables matter for this. Allows you to rev past 12000 revs? I already can and am sure you can too....
A waste of money I reckon.

sounds like a load of crap, I've seen very nearly 15,000rpm on my stock NC23

As said the carbs and cables are the most important factor in your throttle response, and I don't see how it can improve the spark, how would it do this? Thought something like a coil with more windings or something would help with that, I'm sure you could get a better spark by saving you money and changing the plugs, caps and leads

I remember those devices that were sold a few years ago where you cut the HT leads and introduced a device that made the spark jump a gap before it got to your plug. They claimed a fatter spark. Sounded like bunkum then and I've not changed my mind.

On 2nd take it looks to have far too many wires just to be a simple speed derestrictor.
Hmmm, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say it could be worth trying, Takegawa is a reputable brand.
The nc29 has a TPS which affects throttle response big time, this unit might fool the cdi by modifying the TPS signal.
Only 1 way to know if it works.

In my country, 'a-lot-of-money' moped bikers using Takegawa brand to increase their bike performance. I think it supposed to be moped derestrictor parts as their RPM's limited to 9-11k RPM only.
