Hey,

Anyone know where I can get a decent stem cover for my RFV400? Friend has a nice metal one with simple Honda logo he got off ebay but I can't find one on there. Want to replace the crappy plastic one I have.

Cheers

Skid

thx Mate, if you're interested his name is "underboat96" and I just bought a C Spanner from him to replace one i bought a year ago!.....e-mail just sent...this V4 business is incestuous.

"Hey Paul, how's it going...

So, jealous of my mates VFR which was always better than my own. I've been searching in vain for a metal stem cover with logo to replace my crappy plastic one for new RVF (well, new to me but yet to receive, hope I don't get stiched up!). Will paint black and attach tacky HRC domed sticker I have somewhere if I have to (got a two pack when I did the same for the dead VFR, sob...).

Left a message on 400greybikes forum and got the following response:

"there is a forum user on there that does that, Gazzah i believe
alternatively a lad on ebay makes then, underboat or something is his user name "

Assuming he meant "here" not "there" checked the forum and found Gazzahh, PM'd, then spent ages trawling ebay for this Underboat character. Only an ebay amateur really, couldn't work out how to search by nametag but gave it my best. Couldn't find anything, but knew this was me doing something wrong. And the name seemed familiar...

So familiar - had spent quite a few evenings replacing several VFR bits and bobs for originals a year ago, perhaps I'd bought from him before. Checked history, low and behold I'd bought a C Spanner from Mr Underboat almost exactly a year ago (7th May I left feedback, was quick delivery, so must be almost exactly a year to the day!).

LOL, tickled me anyway, checked my inbox for the weekend and there you are!

Anyway, sorry for the prose, cut a long story short and all that. Can you sort me out with a steering stem cover?!

cheers
