Bike won't start on 1st turn
Hi,
I had some carb issues, splatter & a flat spot on low rev. I just had the entire carb o-ring set changed & this has basically solved that problem. I have now found that my bike hassles to start.
It takes quiet a while to get it started even though it has been started up in the last 24 hours. The process I have found to get it started is; I engage the choke & continouly press the start button in intervals until it starts, this takes maybe 10min, it sounds like it wants to start but just doesn't tick over. When it starts I need to allow it to idle before touching the accelerator because it would just switch off. At this point it sounds like its firing on 3 cyclinders, if I allow it to idle & reving it for a period of time it normalises & revs clean, alternatively I can ride out the missfire & it will run perfectly. At this point if I switch it off it would start back up on the first turn but if I leave it for a day it gives me a hassle. I have been forced to start it up everyday so that I don't have major issues.
The mechanic has no idea what the problem could be, it has been for a service & everything seems to be fine.
Please help!!!

No a compression test has not been done. Would this be valid since when I allow it to idle enough or ride it out everything normalises?
