Hi i was looking at the carbs for my 76a the bike came to me as a project and was wondering why there were some spare hoses. i know there are 2 pipes that go from on top of the airbox that go onto the two biggest connectors and then i know the bottom 2 are for fuel and there are 2 spare ones which have pipes also attached to but arent connected to anything. i was blowing into each one and it seems to lead to the float bowl but not through the float valve? what are they for? thanks in advnace.

they just balance pressure between the float bowl and atmosphere. You don't need to worry about the theory of it just that they are right.
