I did do a quick search but couldnt see anything.....Anyone know if the carbs (yes im being lazy) can be left on when removing the engine ?
Im thinking if i remove the front securing bolts first (leaving the lower rear mount bolt attached) the engine should tilt forward as it drops allowing the carbs to clear the frame :?:

lol..stop beoing so lazy...

If you can be arsed pulling the rads off, the chain off, all bodywork etc...then just undo the carbs and pull them off!

half a job....tsk

no I doubt very much if there will be enough room....possibly if you remove the wheels and forks put the motor flat on the floor and lift the frame off the motor...

yep....its 4 little screws and you will have to disconnect the throttle cables so just pop the carbs off.

Yes you can leave the carbs on when removing the engine if you want.
Whilst you have the engine out and you have the clearance it might be a good idea to remove the carbs and give them a good clean but yes the engine and carbs can be removed as a whole lump.

By not doing so you are creating work for yourself, trying to get to the 2 earth points on the block will be a pain, also the temp sender will be a sod to reach.

Why don't you want to take them off?

lol...if only you knew the extent of my lazyness !! I havent pulled any water hoses off....everythings still attached, even the loom

Im only removing it to give it a clean & spray the frame black so the less i take apart the less work re-assembling it....well....thats what i was thinkin
